STS x NPR = SXSW with Fiona Apple, Bruce Springsteen & Magnetic Fields

In late 2011, NPR Music selected Sugar Tongue Slim as one of their Favorite New Artists Of 2011 . On MARCH 15TH, the highly respected music outlet is going a step further by showcasing STS at SXSW for their Free Day Party, alongside artist The Magnetic Feilds, Lower Dens, La Vida Boheme and Poliça.

Hot off the release of his new project, GOLDRush, Sugar Tongue Slim visits Austin with full band that includes MPIII Music and DJ BearOne.The show will feature songs off his critically acclaimed album, The Illustrious as well as GOLDRush cuts like “Cut Me Off” and “Something About You”. Backing STS on stage will be MPIII Music and DJ BearOne.

Recorded in Atlanta’s legendary Tree Sound Studios, The Illustrious, was released in August 2011. The project would end up on NPR’s list of Top 50 favorite release of 2011 alongside Adele, Frank Ocean and Watch The Throne.
