Sgt. Over’s forthcoming EP, “School Of Hard Knoxx,” displays the lyrical prowess Sarge is known for as well as his ability to deliver a bigger and bolder sound. The first single “The Bad Guy” (produced by Knoxx who has also produced for Memphis Bleek) is Sarge kicking in the door with an up-tempo track putting people on notice that he’s here to raise the lyrical bar.
The video directed by Serringe of Element Tree portrays Sarge as a modern day Robin Hood. The setting is a sleezy motel where Sarge and his two sexy but thorough accomplices stick up a major drug deal in progress. True to his beliefs Sarge has one of the girls dump the drugs and the video finishes off with Sarge taking the money to a local church. The entire video feels like a scene out of a Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino movie.
