It’s been six years since Marco Polo took the hip-hop world by storm with his Rawkus/Soulspazm Records debut LP, Port Authority. While the project not only established the Toronto, Canada native as one of the top emerging producers in his field, as evidenced by the amount of time that has elapsed between his debut and sophomore projects, it is also apparent that Marco Polo won’t release a project on anyone else’s timeline. That fact is verified by Masta Ace, who in an attempt to find out what was going on with the verse he supplied for Marco’s new project, PA2: The Director’s Cut, (which is now available wherever fine music is sold) left this voicemail for Marco.
“Ay yo Marco, it’s Masta Ace, what’s going on man? I was just wondering; I did this verse for you, I don’t know, it was two years ago—whatever happened with that verse man? I thought it was coming out on Port Authority 2? It’s like mad years now, like we talking about it, and I’m hearing about it. I’ve never seen someone take like four-thousand years to put a record together. Anyway, if you are working on it, I hope it’s done soon.â€
No worries Ace, here it is…
