Ya Boy Hardheaded “Cards I Was Delt” [VIDEO]

New Orleans rapper Ya Boy Hardheaded presents the Focus Cinema-directed music video for “Cards I Was Delt”, a song from his album Still Doing Me. “Cards I Was Delt” is produced by Pro Prospek, who won Producer Of The Year at the 2010 New Orleans Underground HipHop Awards.

“I’ve been through some foolishness in my life, especially in the past few years, and the inspiration and the meaning are pretty much one in the same for this song. I was not going to let life and its BS stop me from doing what I want to do and the thing that drives me. This mindset was a big help especially considering a day or two after this song was mixed and mastered I was in a horrible car wreck that almost took my life. Thank God there was someone to pull me out right before the car blew up. I spent a few months in a wheelchair before and after having reconstructive surgery on my ankle. The whole time I stayed writing songs working on projects and designing covers for this project and next one.”
