Shwayze and Cisco Adler, the alternative rap-rock duo that brought you the feel good hits “Buzzin’†and “Corona and Lime,†are back with a free 6 song mini-album The W’s.Â
“The W’s is taking it back to our first record, mixed with better weed and hotter women,” said rapper Shwayze. The new music marks a return to the California stoner hop that made their first album SHWAYZE (#8 debut on Billboard Top 200) strike a generational chord. The laid back beats and sing-a-long melodies provided by producer/singer Cisco Adler are the perfect backdrop for Shwayze’s lazy day flow. “The W’s is a record for our purest fans…we locked ourselves in Bananabeat Studios and went back to the drawing board,†said Adler.
Adler has been busy in his down time producing records for everyone from Mike Posner to G Love and even had a number one comedy album with joke-rapster Dirt Nasty. And Shwayze dropped a solo mixtape under his real name Aaron Smith showing a different side of his creative personality. But the two know that something magical happens when they get in the studio together and The W’s is a perfect example of this: easy breezy vibes influenced by weed and women make for the perfect soundtrack to your California day dreams. The duo are releasing the new mini-album, Shwayze and Cisco The W’s via Bandcamp and Itunes. They are currently recording tracks for a full-length album due this summer on Adler’s Bananabeat Records with partners Oakley and New Era.
