Interview — D. Tucker (@DwayneTucker) [PART 2]

LC: I’m gonna throw some off topic questions your way now. Just trying to stir the pot up, so to speak. Now, considering the world we live in today, are you politically active?

DT: Next question please!!!

LC: I guess I should have known better right? Oh well. What are some of your hobbies?

DT: Spare time is rare time but I do enjoy playing golf, skateboarding and spending it with loved ones.

LC: How do you balance your career and outside interests?

DT: I’m only human; I remind myself of that when shit gets crazy. Love life, there’s no “relationship status” but trust me, I show lots of love.I make time for my social life because these are the people that believed in me from the start. Education, I’ll take a quote from my grand mother, “Everyday you learn something new.”

LC: What other artists are you listening to? Favorite albums/songs?

DT: I’m listening to Two Door Cinema club, The XX, Bloc Party… A lot of Dub-step music, Passion Pit, MGMT, Jack Penate and artists of such. Right now my newest favorite album is “Island In The Sun” by Cisco Adler and Shwayze.

LC: Do you follow any sports? What teams are your current favorites? Championship picks?

DT: Not too much honestly. I played a ton of basketball in high school, I got MVP for that, I also played a lot of golf growing up and skateboarded a lot. Let’s Go Team Heat!

LC: What are your upcoming plans?

DT: My mind wants to explode writing to that question.

LC: What projects do you have coming up? And what can we expect?

DT: I have a few new videos that are storyboarded and Feb 1st, 2012 I plan to release my second mixtape titled, SGIOV (Somewhat Good Is Okay Volume 2). Always expect me to be the best me that I can be.

LC: Are you on tour? Do you have any performances coming up, if so where, when and with who?

DT. None of the above I’m trying to get my music out using the Internet as my most powerful tool. I did a few shows in Miami for SGIOV1 but I don’t have management or a label behind me I’m waiting to chose the right ones but I’m ready to have someone handle that part of the process so I can focus more on the things I really want to focus on; right now Kid Smooth and I handles the entire organizational process. I would love to work with G.O.O.D. Music or Banana Beat Records; who knows though let’s see because what will happen will happen.

LC: What can we expect to see/hear in the future?

DT: Expect for me to be a well-known artist that gives his art his all.

LC: Do you have anything else to say to your fans?

DT: To the fans of my music, I love you all and ya’ll are the most important part of my music because I do this for us – YachtLife (Young. Ambitious. Creative. High-standards. Talented. Lifestyle.)

LC: Any final shootouts? Social Networking contacts? Booking information?

DT: Shout-out to Kid Smooth my DJ/ Engineer / Bro, Shout-out to my YachtLife family (Young. Ambitious. Creative. High standard. Talented. Lifestyle.)
