Donuts for the Villagers will feature 8 tracks, all beats courtesy of the late, great J Dilla, except More Pizzazz, which was produced by D’Angelo and co-produced by J Dilla for Slum Village (Tell Me). Donuts for the Villagers has two featured artists, Soul singer Mina Leon, a Washingtonian currently living in Okinawa, Japan and Cranberry Show, a rap group from Milwaukee, WI.
The Listening Event will be held at Art Under Pressure Skateboard/Apparel/Graffiti shop in DC on October 15th.
There will be a filmed J Dilla Tribute Cypher to conclude the event.
