Preaundrea “Sister Hazel Eyes” x “Right (In the Day)”

Preaundrea is a soul/R&B, singer/songwriter from the DC and Baltimore metro area. Infusing inspiration, heartache, happiness, love, anger, fear, and strength into every thought that goes into her songs, she describes her sound as “soulfully progressive”.

Growing up on an array of music genres, she has been influenced by everyone from the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Quincy Jones, Santana, Jill Scott, and Quadron. Though she solely writes all her lyrics, not all of them are autobiographical. The purpose of her music is not to tell just her story, but stories of the people. Recently, her music has been featured on local blogs such as DMV Unplugged, DC Mumbo Sauce, and My Majic 102.3, DC. She has collaborated on some of her recordings with DC rapper Awthentik, guitar player Javier Reyes of Animals as leaders, and Baltimore producer/songwriter Stephen Joseph Antonelli. She continues to record and network with other musicians and producers in the DC/Maryland area where she also performs and plans on releasing an EP in 2012.
