Donwill’s “December 27th”, a somber-yet-optimistic tribute to his late father, is given the visual treatment by Brooklyn-based avant-garde media house 5846 Films. “December 27th”, which features a dreamy beat by Don himself, is complimented by washed-out visuals that match the tone of the song, while glimpses of color, such as green grass, provide a sense of hope and relief. This contrast is echoed by Don’s refrain “you’re in a better place, it ain’t a better time”.
