Raised around a little love, neglect and abuse, Rikki Blu was molded into the musical love child that you see today. Inspired by His late Mother and musical artist such as KRS-1 and Paris, his style can not be defined by conventional means. Growing up, music was all that Rikki knew, from The Blu Kidz rap group he was in with his siblings, to producing at the age of 12. Although he made his musical debut as a producer, Rikki always had the urge and dream to one day be an MC… Shuned by his father, but encouraged by his older brother Rodney, Rikki began to secretly polish his spitting ability without anyone outside of his immediate circle of friends even noticing. From endless freestyle sessions, to his friends begging him to use his God Given talent, Rikki finally said, “fuck it”, and started to chase this almost impossible dream… From his mom dying, to almost being killed by a drunk driver, the passion in his music speaks for itself, and it seems as if this passion, has been missing from HipHop for far too long.
