D.Focis “The Herman Gardens Project” (Score by J.Dilla)

Following a string of personal and business disappointments, in 2010 D.Focis had become disillusioned with the music business and began plans to leave the business for good. But, there was a lingering project that he always wanted to do; a project dedicated to the late great J.Dilla. Not just any mixtape, but a project that would be an actual album with real concepts and ideas set the the backdrop of one of the greatest producers of all time. The Herman Gardens Project was the outcome. During the process of making the album D.Focis says “I fell in love with music all over again because of Dilla, and this is my way of saying thank you to him”
