Philadelphia emcee Ryshon Jones releases his brand new project Hope Is A Dangerous Thing, premiered by Mass Appeal. He also took the time to speak to the outlet about the inspiration behind the project. He isn’t referring to this one as a mixtape, album, LP or EP, but simply as a zip. Jones says that this was something he worked on at the end of December, coming out of writers block and falling into a deep zone of creativity. He goes on to say he just wanted to be free with it and embrace the freedom of doing what you want, along with being in the mood to put out something for the people to hear. The title comes from a episode of Orange Is The New Black and he says it just stuck out to him. The project features Adam Lee, Nia Keturah, Benny Love, Faylin, Happyendless and poetry from Ivajay. Production comes from HighleeF, SamGreenS, Ten Twenty-Six, Thelonious Martin and more. It also comes with a digital look/poetry book in the zip folder. While he isn’t calling this a prelude, you can expect Track Fifteen later on in the year. Enjoy.
