After premiering “Hell You Sayin” Thursday on Billboard, with the whole Grand Hustle, DJ Whoo Kid is back at it. Today we are reaffirmed that no matter how many lights shine down on you, your roots still remain intact. LL Cool J hops on DJ Mustard-produced “Main Chick,” which was the lead single on Kid Ink’s break through album “In My Own Lane.” Below you can view how the song was curated, and the spontaneity contained within the curation.
It all started with Kevin Hart coming on DJ Whoo Kid’s SHADE 45 “Whoolywood Shuffle” show on Saturday promoting his “About Last Night” movie dropping this Friday and requesting LL Cool J’s classic, “I Need Love” to start off the celebrity guest-mix. Whoo Kid was shocked and thought he wanted to start off with Drake. This gave Whoo Kid an idea to have LL Cool J call into the Valentine Special on Eminem’s Shade45. While Whoo Kid interviewed Kevin Hart, the gears started churning in Whoo Kid’s brain. A dare had came up to the table, with Whoo Kid calling up Mr. NCIS and master of ceremony for The Grammy’s to test if his rap skills didn’t disappear with the Hollywood Lights. Whoo kid gave it to him at 4:10PM EST which gave him 30-40 mins to knock out the verse before his show would end at 5PM. Sure enough he called back at 4:45pm with the verse and debuted it live on air. This guy is a beast!! Queens for life!!
