(Seattle, Washington) Blessed with a fiery passion for delivering lyrics in a precise yet catchy format J-Key is back with another single that’s sure to ignite the blog world.
Dubbed “Hello World,” the soulful song, brings a message that J-Key seeks to include in all his songs. The message seems to be working as the Northwest emcee has sold over 10,000 copies of his independent release, Who’s Looking ? Vol I and now J-Key is in the process of recording his vlog series and his upcoming project Who’s Looking? Vol II.
“Every song that I do has a message in it. Sometimes it’s not as noticeable, sometimes its more obvious. Not every song has a serious message and I try to entertain the fans while also keeping thing positive and fun,” J-Key explained.
Building his buzz online, J-Key has slowly released material from the project on MTV, The Source, AllHipHop, HipHopSince1987 and WeThe West to name a few, showing his potential and ability to control the mic with catchy word play and a positive message. His passion for music and his messages have garnered verses from Nipsey Hussle, Glasses Malone and Boogz Boogetz to name a few.
In addition to co-signs in the form of verses, J-Key has also jumped on the road throughout the Northwest (Washington, Idaho, Oregon) with a host of talent including the aforementioned Nipsey Hussle, YG, Kirko Bangz, Kid Ink and more.
“While I am aware of what goes on in the streets, I don’t boast about that life. Really thats where it all started, but I don’t feel the need to focus on that in my music. I get tons of love from the streets with my music because most of CD’s that we sold for either $1, or $2, or $5 were to people I see on the street in my city,” J-Key explained.
